Williamson County Landfill Seeks to Grow

Waste Management, Inc., operator of the Williamson County Landfill north of Hutto, has filed an application to increase the landfill's size from 100 to 500 acres.

The company filed the permit amendment with the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ). If granted the expansion would make the landfill the largest such facility in the state, according to Robin Schneider with the Texas Campaign for the Environment...
